Turn off “Press 1 to Answer” announcement

This option allows you to hear an announcement when your extension or phone is called. This is helpful for identifying how you should answer the phone.

I am a Business Connect User

From Voice Manager

  1. In the Voice Manager, click Settings > Call Handling & Forwarding > Settings

  2. Click Edit Under Incoming Call Information > Play Announcement

  3. Change for Direct Calls to Never > Save

I am a Business Connect Admin

From Voice Manager

  1. In the Voice Manager, click Users > select the Users Extension > Call Handling & Forwarding > Settings

  2. Click Edit Under Incoming Call Information > Play Announcement

  3. Change for Direct Calls to Never > Save

Note: This option cannot be turned off when receiving calls through a call queue to a non Business Connect phone number.
