Let’s keep the good going

Connecting Canadians and supporting our communities has always been at the core of why we do what we do. Now, more than ever, when connectivity matters most, we are utilizing all our resources to help you stay safe, informed, healthy and inspired. Including $150 million dedicated to support COVID-19 relief. Stay giving. Stay connected.

#StayGiving Challenge

Since 2000, our dedicated TELUS team has volunteered 1.4 million days of service, with more than one million hours of giving last year alone. Now, as we celebrate our 15th annual TELUS Days of Giving, we are challenging Canadians to join us by volunteering virtually and safely in your communities. We hope these heartwarming stories will inspire you to choose your own volunteer activity. Through acts of giving, big and small, we can all make a difference by joining the #StayGiving challenge.

Sewing hope

After putting her daughter to bed, Shannan spends evenings sewing washable, reusable fabric masks for seniors and other vulnerable people in her community on Toronto’s west side. To date, she has put skills she honed in a previous life building film and theatrical props to create over 100 masks. To create your own no-sew reusable masks, follow these simple steps. View video

Growing for good

As part of their gardens this year, hundreds of team members like Ashton are growing an extra row of veggies and donating the harvest to local food banks. Inspired by the Plant a Row - Grow a Row movement, green thumbs like Ashton are now giving their bounty to help feed the hungry.

Driving foodbank stocks

When the Community Ambassador team learned that their local food bank in Rimouski was running low on supplies, they started a donation drive. After asking the community to leave donations on their porches, 75 team members collected donations door to door. 48 hours later, the shelves were stocked.

Donating for life

Team member Charissa inherited her desire to help from her parents, along with a rare blood type. Now nearing 50 blood donations, she is a proud member of the Donors for Life program, knowing that by giving blood, she can positively impact the lives of others in the most profound way.
