#TELUSPolarPlunge Challenge | December 2025
- Post a video Polar Plunging under the hashtag #TELUSPolarPlunge 30 seconds or less; and
- Tag@TELUSon Instagram and include your charity of choice in the caption.
For every video entry received, TELUS will donate $10 to the @FriendlyFutureFoundation (up to $10,000).If the submitted video contains a person, other than the entrant, consent must be obtained from each individual. If the submitted video contains a minor (under 18 years of age) parental consent is required.
An Entry that includes content which infringes any right of any third party (for example, music or picture copyright) or suggests subject matter that may violate community standards or is otherwise of questionable taste (in the sole discretion of the Contest administrators) will be ineligible and excluded from the Contest.
No purchase necessary. Contest runs from 12:00 p.m. EST to 11:59 p.m. EST from December 28, 2025 to January 9, 2026. This contest is intended for residents of Canada 13 years of age or older and will be interpreted according to Canadian law. Maximum of one (1) entry per person throughout the contest period.
The contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
Entries must comply with Instagram or Meta terms of use. In the event of a dispute, the person who is the holder of the Instagram account specified will be deemed to be the entrant. Entrants are only permitted to make a single submission. Entrants must provide entries using a single account, and entrants found to be using multiple accounts will be considered ineligible and disqualified from the contest.
There will be one (1) prize awarded. Winner will receive the following Prize package which includes:
- One (1) Apple Watch Series 11; and
- A $500 donation in the winner’s name to a charity of choice.
Approximate retail value of the Prize is $1,100 CDN. If the Prize winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, Prize will be forfeited. Tax receipt for the donation portion of the prize will not be provided to the winner. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable and cannot be exchanged with TELUS for cash. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the prize, which is, in their sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. The donation prize will be donated directly to the winners charity of choice from the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation using TELUS’ funds.
To be eligible to win, entries must be received on or before the closing date of 11:59 p.m. EST on January 9th, 2026. This contest is open to residents of Canada, 18 years of age or older. Contest not open to employees of TELUS Corporation (“TELUS”), its affiliated companies or subsidiaries, its sales agents, its advertising and promotional agencies, and members with whom they are domiciled.
A random draw for the prize will take place at approx. 12:00 p.m. EST on January 12, 2026. The selected entrant will be notified by private message on Instagram. Please note that the winner will only be contacted from the official, Instagram-verified
@TELUS
account. If the selected entrant does not respond back to the contest administrator within three (3) business days or if the selected entrant does not comply with all contest rules, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. In order to win the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by email.
The winning entrant of the prize must sign a standard release and indemnity form confirming compliance with contest rules and releasing TELUS and their respective directors, officers, partnership interest holders, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to or as a result of the carrying out of the contest, including liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded. Failure to comply with the contest rules or to sign and return the release form within 2 days of receipt will result in disqualification and another entry will be drawn.
All entries become the property of TELUS. TELUS assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of Instagram/Facebook or for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer or online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any Instagram/Facebook message, e-mail or entry to be received by TELUS on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from this contest.
TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of TELUS and its advertising and promotional agencies corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest or for any other reason at any time without prior notice.
Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered, tampered with or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means or by spamming will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in any manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation.
