Executive Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer

Gopi Chande serves as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for TELUS, leading TELUS' global finance organization, including financial strategy, corporate development, investor relations, treasury, tax, procurement, real estate, and risk management. With more than 30 years of executive finance experience, she is recognized for leading complex organizations and fostering high-performing global teams.
During her nearly two decades at TELUS, Gopi has played a central role in many of the company's most significant milestones, including strategic initiatives and growth investments. Most recently, as Chief Financial Officer of TELUS Digital and TELUS Health, she helped lead the businesses through a period of significant transformation, focused on strengthening the foundation for sustainable long-term value creation. In this role, she built strong relationships with investors and financial partners within a global capital markets community.
Previously, as Senior Vice-President, Finance & Treasurer, Gopi oversaw the company’s activity in capital markets, enterprise investments and financing. During her tenure, she oversaw more than $2 billion in bond financings, supported over $1 billion in mergers and acquisitions, and established TELUS' pioneering Sustainable Finance Framework. Throughout her TELUS career, Gopi has helped enable many of the company's largest capital investments, including the generational, multi-billion-dollar expansion of TELUS' world-leading PureFibre network.
Prior to joining TELUS, Gopi spent 12 years with KPMG across Vancouver, Budapest and Silicon Valley, and served as Controller for multinational technology company E2open. She earned her CPA, CA designation with Gold Medal distinction, was elected a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA) in 2022, and is also a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois).
Gopi brings extensive governance experience, having served on the boards of the Telecommunication Workers Pension Plan, Concert Properties and CANARIE.  She currently serves as FAI Committee Chair and Board Member of the BC Women's Health Foundation and remains actively involved in mentoring emerging leaders through TELUS and community organizations. Known for her authentic and collaborative leadership style, she is deeply committed to developing future leaders and building cultures grounded in trust, accountability and continuous learning.
