Giving back to build stronger, healthier communities

Over the past two decades, TELUS has become a global leader in social capitalism with a strong legacy of giving, both through volunteer hours and charitable donations.
Our annual signature global volunteer movement,
TELUS Days of Giving
have inspired our team members, retirees, family and friends globally to volunteer in support of our local communities. Since 2000, our TELUS family has volunteered 2.4 million days of giving – more than any other company in the world. As the most giving company, we’ve proven that, together, we can create meaningful change and help build stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities.
As a further demonstration of our deep commitment to giving back to our communities, we launched the
TELUS Friendly Future Foundation
in 2018 to connect youth to a world of opportunities. Together, the Foundation and our
19 TELUS Community Boards
in Canada and around the world have granted over $135 million in cash donations to 10,600 youth-focused health and education initiatives since 2005.
In addition to charitable granting, the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation has provided over 1,000 bursaries through the
TELUS Student Bursary
program. The program supports hundreds of youth each year who are experiencing financial need and who are committed to making a difference in their communities. Launched in 2023 with a $25 million endowment from TELUS and expanded through an additional $25 million fundraising commitment from the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation, the bursary provides crucial financial support to Canada's most inspirational changemakers, helping them achieve their dreams of pursuing post-secondary education.
Not only are we investing in local communities and future changemakers, but through our $100 million
TELUS Pollinator Fund for Good
, one of the world’s largest corporate social impact funds, we’re also supporting the businesses of the future, investing in tech startups that are helping make the world a better place.

We’re also making smarter and more environmentally-friendly choices for our customers to help create a sustainable tech cycle of devices — also known as a ‘circular economy’.
