Victor Dodig recently retired from the role of President and CEO of the CIBC group of companies. He served in that role and as a director on the CIBC board from 2014 to 2025.
In addition to his role at CIBC, Victor served as Board Chair of the Business Council of Canada and is a Trustee of The Brookings Institution. He is a strong advocate for inclusion in the workplace and chairs the Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Council at CIBC. He previously served as the Co-Chair of the BlackNorth Initiative, demonstrating his commitment to promoting diversity and equality. Victor has been honoured as a Catalyst Canada Honours Champion, recognizing his leadership in advancing gender diversity. 
Victor is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, where he earned an MBA and was recognized as a Baker Scholar. He also holds a diploma from the Institut d’études politiques in Paris and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto (St. Michael’s College). Victor has received an Honorary Doctorate degree from University of St. Michael’s College and an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Toronto Metropolitan University.
