Having access to reliable internet is essential in today’s interconnected world. But for low-income families and people with disabilities, it can still be a struggle.
Internet for GoodTM is an innovative program offered in BC and Alberta that provides eligible Canadians with the tools and connectivity they need to succeed.
Internet connectivity for $9.95/month (plus applicable taxes) for 24 months; regular pricing thereafter
Speeds of up to 25 megabits per second (where available) and up to 300 gigabytes of data per month
Option to purchase a low cost refurbished computer through BC Technology for Learning
No contract or cancellation fees

Extending the impact of Internet for Good during the COVID-19 pandemic
We have empowered Schools across Alberta and BC to extend our Internet for Good offer directly to families in need. If you have school-aged children and are in need of Internet access, please discuss your situation with your child’s teacher or Principal. The school Principal will be able to request codes from TELUS on behalf of families in need at their school. Note that if you would like to apply directly to TELUS you will need to meet the criteria outlined in the eligibility section below.

Please include your full name, return address, email address (if applicable) and contact phone number so we can contact you about your application.
Receive program approval, along with a unique TELUS Internet for Good redemption code
Call TELUS to redeem your code to set up your internet service and schedule an installation
Documentation will be used for eligibility validation and then deleted or shredded. TELUS will be recording your name, mailing address, email (if applicable) and last four digits of a unique identifier.
Individuals are encouraged to enlist the help of a friend, family member or case worker to apply on their behalf if necessary.
Eligibility for low-income Canadian families
Internet for Good supports thousands of low-income Canadian families in BC and Alberta who have children under the age of majority and are currently receiving the maximum Canada Child Benefit.
Approved documentation for application:
A Canada Child Benefit (CCB) statement showing your family net income of less than or equal to $31,120.
Note: The Internet for Good account must be under the name of the individual named on page 1 of the CCB statement.
TELUS is participating in the Connecting Families Government of Canada program.

Eligibility for people with disabilities
Internet for Good is available to those who receive the BC Persons with Disability (PWD) benefit or the Alberta Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) benefit from the provincial governments or the Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefit (CPPD).
