Pause, Rewind or Fast Forward

How to use one PVR to play shows across multiple home TVs

One PVR is all you need to record and play back your program on up to 6 TVs in your home. Pause a recorded program in one room and pick it up from the same spot in a different room. (Each additional TV only requires a digital box — not a PVR.)

When you’re watching a live program, your PVR will automatically save (buffer) it for up to 90 minutes. This allows you to pause, rewind and fast-forward (up to the present moment) whenever you like on a TV connected to any digital box in your home.

When you pause live TV, a status bar will show you where you are in the program and how much has been temporarily saved. Pausing for longer than 90 minutes causes the program to start playing automatically from the point where you paused it.

All temporarily-saved live TV will be deleted once you change the channel or turn your TV off. If you want to save what you're watching, you can select Record. The program will be recorded back to when you tuned in, or the last 90 minutes, whichever is less.

Note: Fast-forward may not be available if you are using the Restart feature on Optik TV. Once Restart is triggered your program is no longer “live.” In addition, while the PVR allows you to rewind live TV to the point when you tuned in, or up to 90 minutes ago, if the program has the Restart feature, you may be able to rewind even further.
