Call Control
How to add and manage this robo-caller prevention mobility feature.
Call Control is a free optional feature available for our Business Mobility customers
The feature automatically screens robo-callers and prevents them from bothering you
When phoning you for the first time, a caller is prompted to enter a number
If the caller enters it successfully, they are not prompted again (provided they are one of your 25 most recent callers) and the call goes through
If they fail, they hear an automatic message stating that they were prevented from reaching you
The feature enables you to create an Accepted list* of numbers that won’t be prompted.
You should add to this list any important callers who may be using auto-dialing (such as school offices, doctors’ offices, libraries) or have difficulty following the prompts. If applicable, you should also add your home intercom’s caller ID to this list
*Note: The accepted list is a list of numbers considered ‘’safe’’ and chosen by the call control user. They will not be prompted to dial any number in order for the call to connect.

Viewing your last 100 calls anytime through the call log available on your My TELUS portal
Adding up to 100 numbers each to your Accepted* and Blocked callers lists
After passing the Call Control challenge, your 100 most recent callers won’t be challenged again

Log in to My TELUS
Go to Plans & Devices
Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
Select the Call Control tab
Select Start Using Call Control
Select the Call Control switch on or select Turn on call control
Once call control is added on My TELUS, you can turn the feature On and Off by dialing *99 from the mobility device in question.
Note: The feature must be added and managed by each line individually.
Log in to My TELUS
Select Plans & Devices
Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
Select the Call Control tab
Use the tabs to navigate to the desired menu option:
Call log: Review your calls and add the numbers to your Accepted list or Blocked list by selecting Accept or Block button
Accepted list: Includes numbers that will not be subjected to Call Control anymore or at all. The numbers you accept from the call log will appear here. You can manually add numbers to this list by selecting Add a number
Blocked list: Includes numbers that will automatically be blocked when calling in. The numbers you block from the call log will appear here. You can manually add blocked numbers to this list by selecting Add a number
Preferences: Toggle the Voicemail Redirect feature on to allow callers who failed the screening prompt to leave you a voicemail
Log in to My TELUS
Select Plans & Devices
Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
Select the Call Control tab
Select the Call Control toggle to off (grey)
