Supplier Diversity

At TELUS, we believe in creating equal opportunities, promoting economic growth and building stronger, more inclusive communities. Our Supplier Diversity and Indigenous Procurement Program reflects this commitment by providing equal access to the projects and services TELUS procures to diverse and Indigenous suppliers.

Supplier Diversity Program

Our Supplier Diversity Program encourages the development of underrepresented communities and provides more opportunities for culturally diverse suppliers, including 2SLGBTQ+, people with disabilities, minority-owned businesses and women-run organizations, to bid for our business in competitive processes. This ensures our suppliers reflect our diverse communities and bring new ideas and creativity to the business.

To promote a diverse supplier base, we partner with different advocacy organizations and certifying associations, such as Women Business Enterprises (WBE) Canada, Inclusive Workplace & Supply Council of Canada (IWSCC), Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) and the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC). We also provide thought leadership in policy development and the growth of supplier diversity in Canada through board and committee representation across these organizations.

We encourage diverse suppliers to register on our supplier database. Our procurement team regularly reviews the database and connects with registered suppliers when opportunities arise.

Indigenous Suppliers Program

At TELUS, we recognize the unique value, cultural heritage and knowledge that Indigenous suppliers offer, and we are committed to creating opportunities for Indigenous suppliers to showcase their products and services, expand their networks and contribute to their local economies. Our commitment is reflected in the TELUS Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan (IRAP), aligning with Call to Action #92 of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission.

To promote Indigenous suppliers' development, we collaborate with advocacy and certification bodies like the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB).

Join us on this journey of collaboration and growth. TELUS' procurement team frequently reviews the database of registered Indigenous suppliers and will connect with them as opportunities arise.
