Andrea Wood

Executive vice-president, Chief Legal & Governance Officer

As Chief Legal & Governance Officer of TELUS, Andrea oversees the team that provides legal advice on all facets of TELUS’ business and operations worldwide. She is a member of the TELUS Executive Leadership Team and serves as Corporate Secretary to the TELUS Board of Directors. Andrea joined TELUS in 2013.

Andrea has over 25 years of experience in the technology, media and entertainment industries. After starting her career as an associate in Dentons’ financial services group, she joined Alliance Atlantis Communications (a publicly listed television and film production and distribution company and broadcaster) where she held a variety of positions over 16 years, ultimately serving as Executive Vice-President and General Counsel. After leaving Alliance Atlantis, Andrea joined WIND Mobile (now Freedom Mobile) as Chief Legal Officer.

Outside of TELUS, Andrea is an enthusiastic volunteer and a director of the Vancouver Opera. She is also a Past President of the Empire Club of Canada and served on its board for six years.
