As part of our Optik TV offering, TELUS collects the content from its source and delivers it over fibre to the Optik TV headend in Edmonton at a high-quality encoding rate. For this wholesale offer, TELUS encodes and delivers very high-quality content over a single IP stream to our customer demarcation point. There, our partners can interconnect and then deliver this content to their own headend, affix their retail “wrapper”, and transform it into a product they can resell to their customers.
TELUS provides a comprehensive selection of HD MPEG4 channels.
Note that TELUS acts as the content distributor only. Our partners remain responsible for securing all required resale rights from the content owner.
