Dan Frese, DVM, PhD

Dr. Frese is a highly skilled professional specializing in Animal Health Management, Animal Production, Applied Research, and Regulatory Medicine. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pathobiology from Kansas State University, completed in 2015. His extensive educational background also includes a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) and a Graduate Certificate in Feedlot Production Medicine from Kansas State University, both earned in 2003, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, obtained in 1997. Additionally, he completed the Great Plains Veterinary Education Beef Production Center/University of Nebraska Management Series in 2009.

Dr. Frese grew up in Miller, Nebraska, on a cattle feeding and irrigated farming operation. After receiving his B.S. in Animal Science, he returned home to feed cattle and farm with his family before pursuing further education at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. Upon graduating in 2003, he worked in private beef cattle practice and as a feedlot owner/manager until 2011. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him back to Kansas State University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Pathobiology at the Beef Cattle Institute.

In the fall of 2015, Dr. Frese joined TELUS Agriculture, formerly known as Feedlot Health Management Services, where he works with the Animal Health team to serve clients throughout the cattle belt of the United States. His extensive experience and deep-rooted knowledge in animal health and production make him a valuable asset to the organization and the industry.
