Audio/Headphone jack
Used to plug in your headset or headphones.
Earpiece speaker
Plays audio and lets you hear phone calls.
Front camera
Used for taking pictures and recording videos.
Power/Lock button
Wakes the touchscreen or puts it to sleep when you press it. Turns the device completely off or on when you hold it down.
Volume buttons
Lets you adjust the device volume.
Phone icon
Opens the keypad and Phone app for placing calls.
Messages icon
Opens a Messaging app for sending and receiving text, picture and video messages.
Internet icon
Opens the browser for exploring the internet.
Camera icon
Opens the Camera app for taking pictures and videos.
Recent apps button
Shows the apps you've recently opened, letting you switch between and close apps that are running.
Home button
Takes you to the last Home screen you were on. If you're on a Home screen, it will take you to the main Home screen. Press and hold for Google Assistant.
Back button
Takes you back one screen.
USB/Charging port
Connects your phone to the battery charger or to another device for transferring data.
Microphone
Captures your voice when making calls, using voice commands and more.
