With a keen interest in helping relationships and psychology, I obtained my bachelor's degree from Laval University in 2008, following a series of certificates all oriented in social science. I also hold a psychotherapist's permit issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ).
If you are going through a difficult period with emotional or affective difficulties that are affecting your well-being, professional help adapted to your needs could make a difference.
Stress, anxiety, depressive episodes, adjustment difficulties, burnout, separation, difficulties in managing emotions, feelings of vulnerability/low self-esteem, difficulty letting go of aspects of your life that no longer suit you, etc., can represent obstacles to your well-being. My therapeutic approach is generally cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), based mainly on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) whose effectiveness is recognized by the scientific community.

A health and education professional for over two decades, I am trained in both the Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) approach and the Existential/Humanistic approach, which enables an integrative approach to psychotherapy, whereby the main tool is the therapeutic relationship centered on the person and the solution. I am a clinical psychologist, a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 2008, and I pursued a specialization in Occupational Psychology in Paris, France. I am known for my empathy, patience, and listening skills, as well as my sense of responsibility and judgment. For several years, I was in charge of an educational service for intercultural psychologists in Montreal.
My interventions are based on the individual's needs and personality. The methods used are pragmatic and effective for short-term resolution. I have acquired experience in assessment and intervention for the following wide range of issues: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, work-related difficulties, bereavement, PTSD symptoms, relationship difficulties, difficulties managing emotions, etc.
I can help people improve their self-awareness, assertiveness, sleep hygiene, insomnia, lifestyle habits, self-esteem, stress management, emotion regulation, anger management, interpersonal relationships, as well as acceptance of their differences. I have a doctoral degree in psychology and have been a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (Quebec Order of Psychologists) since 1996. My expertise is with adults and while my training focused on a psychodynamic approach, I have, via additional training in cognitive- behavioural and experiential therapy, perfected my skills in order to build on an integrated approach to psychotherapy. My professional background has allowed me to consolidate extensive experience in the area of mental health, primarily through work with individuals facing concurrent challenges (various mental illnesses, personality disorders, dangerousness, and substance abuse). Part of my practice is also devoted to the support of individuals wanting to develop a better understanding of their interpersonal and professional relationships, in order to make realignments in their private lives, seek conflicts’ resolution, and feel more in sync with their value systems. Based on my experience, I fervently believe in the decisive influence of the quality of the therapeutic relationship, the importance of validation, and the ability to safely express one’s needs in order to build the motivation necessary for change.

I have a master’s degree in psychology and have been a psychologist in good standing with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ) since 1991. I offer services in English and French. I work mainly with adult clients, based on cognitive-behavioural approaches. Over the years, complex dynamics have been central to my practice, including addiction issues, violence in multiple contexts — and risk assessment of this violence — mental health issues (including but not limited to depression, suicide/self-harm, and anxiety), and post-traumatic stress. I have also accompanied clients facing major changes in their lives (jobs, family, couple, or bereavement, for example), difficulties with self-esteem, and relationship issues of all kinds. I am equally able to provide mentoring in a professional and managerial context. I firmly believe in a goal-oriented approach within a patient-centred context of trust and empathy.
