With extensive leadership experience in healthcare technology and digital transformation, Alex held multiple senior roles prior to joining TELUS Health, including Vice-president of Health Services at Walmart Canada and Chief Operating Officer of ClarusONE – Walmart and McKesson’s U.K.-based pharmaceutical sourcing joint venture. He is an expert in building innovative solutions, including co-inventing Directed Spend, a fintech platform enabling multi-billion-dollar payor-funded benefit programs across insurers and employers.
A Fulbright scholar, Alex began his career at Deutsche Bank and spent nearly a decade advising healthcare initiatives for organizations including the Clinton Foundation and WHO, working in Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Italy. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.
