Learn how to save data by turning off Wi-Fi Assist on your device. Wi-Fi Assist will use your data plan to connect to the internet when your Wi-Fi signal is poor.

  1. Note: When enabled, Wi-Fi Assist will use your data plan to connect to the internet when Wi-Fi signal is poor. Disabling this feature will help you save data.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Tap Cellular.

    The indicator is towards the left.

    Scroll to Wi-Fi Assist.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Tap or slide the Wi-Fi Assist switch to OFF.

    The indicator is towards the right.
