Instructions on activating TELUS services after your home is Easy connect-enabled

What is Easy connect


  • Easy connect enabled homes are already connected to the TELUS Purefibre™ Network, which means TELUS has already done a lot of the work and a technician visit may not be required
  • Easy connect gives residents the ability to activate Optik TV and Internet services themselves. This unlocks benefits such as:
    1. Same-day activation
    2. No installation appointment
    3. Ability to upgrade services easily with our self-install packages

How to activate Easy connect


Activate Easy connect with these 3 simple steps:

  1. Call 1-855-277-0619 to get exclusive rates when you order your home services
  2. Your internet will be activated within minutes
  3. Once your wireless TV boxes are delivered, you can activate your Optik TV

Enable your TELUS Internet


Instructions

  1. Locate your white TELUS box (with a TELUS purple sticker)

  2. Open the door and turn off the power bar switch. Wait 10 seconds and turn the power bar switch back on. Wait 60 seconds to ensure connection

  1. To find your wireless user name and password, locate the modem in the white TELUS box. Open the lid and find your wireless user name and password

  2. Using the wireless username and password, log in to your network. Access any website and start browsing

My Wi-Fi app
The TELUS My Wi-Fi app allows you to get the best out of your Advanced Wi-Fi modem. Using the My Wi-Fi app, you can manage, pause Wi-Fi for individual devices, change your Wi-Fi network name and password and see what devices are connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Enable your Optik TV


Instructions

TELUS will ship your wireless TV box to your home. When you receive your TV box, please follow these steps to activate your TV services:

  1. Locate your white TELUS box (with a TELUS purple sticker)

  2. Open the door and turn off the power bar switch. Wait 10 seconds and turn the power bar switch back on. Wait 60 seconds to ensure connection

  1. Plug the HDMI cable from your wireless TV box into any HDMI input on your TV
  2. Turn the TV on and check if you’re on the right input (i.e., HDMI1, HDMI2). You should see a TELUS screen
  3. Go to the white TELUS box (from step 1), and push the WPS button to sync your wireless TV box
  1. Follow the instructions on the TV screen or visit telus.com/SelfInstall to complete your set-up
