Over the past three years, he has worked with companies in multiple sectors, including financial technology, enterprise software and digital health, helping to deploy more than CAD $100M in minority growth capital. Shawn's background in accounting and experience on the sell side advising companies on M&A transactions, valuations and restructuring will inform his work with TELUS Ventures and our portfolio companies.

He also volunteers his expertise to his family's long-standing restaurant, Nook Cafe, where he is helping the business adjust to the new normal by going digital and developing a new corporate strategy. When he's not at a local hot spot, Shawn can be found on a golf course, soccer field or a hike.

Shawn received his CPA designation in 2018 and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, with Honours.
