Maaz Iftikhar

Maaz is responsible for reporting on the performance of TELUS Ventures’ portfolio companies. Acting as a bridge between founders and TELUS’ investment team, Maaz uses data visualization tools to provide insight across the portfolio. He also supports TELUS Ventures’ diversity and inclusion initiatives and works closely with portfolio companies to ensure D&I is at the forefront of their work.

Before joining TELUS Ventures in 2021, Maaz was an investment analyst at Fatima Gobi Ventures in Pakistan, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence and post-investment monitoring. Maaz’s experience at Fatima Gobi Ventures included involvement in fundraising, broadening the firm’s deal pipeline and supporting its incubation centre and in-house accelerator.

When he’s not in the office, Maaz can often be found travelling - he’s visited four continents and lived in countries in North America, the Middle East and South Asia. Now living in Vancouver, Maaz is looking forward to learning to ski on the local mountains.

Maaz holds an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences and a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Wabash College. In 2020, he completed a Venture Capital Financing certification with Kaufmann Fellows.
