David Kramer

Senior Associate

David is focused on sourcing, analyzing and executing investment opportunities in digital health, big data, quantum and consumer sectors that can leverage TELUS’ broad network. He also provides assistance to portfolio companies post-investment and engages in relationship building and outreach in the broader community.

Prior to joining TELUS Ventures in 2020, David was an associate at BMO Capital Markets in their Technology Investment Banking Group, where he covered enterprise software companies across North America and was involved in numerous M&A and equity financing transactions totaling over $5BN. Most notably, David played a lead role in Lightspeed’s C$276M TSX IPO and subsequent US$400M NYSE IPO.

Working with founders of high growth, later-stage businesses has provided him valuable insight into how early stage technology companies can scale into successful, thriving businesses. Prior to BMO, David worked at Gluskin Sheff, where he was an equity research analyst focused on investments in international equities.

South-African born and now living in Canada, David has also lived in Israel and Australia. Naturally, he spends a lot of his free time travelling. His favorite trips usually involve time spent in nature, whether he’s hiking or exploring new beaches. He is an avid Liverpool F.C. and Raptors fan and loves playing soccer and basketball.

David holds a BBA with a major in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University and graduated with distinction.
