Inserting and removing the micro SIM card from your OBD-II device

Drive+ app on Android, Version 3.8.12

Learn how to insert and remove a SIM card from your device. Your cellular service is activated through your SIM card; without it you cannot use cellular features. Note that a SIM card tray removal tool may be needed.

  1. Note: Don't touch the gold contacts on your SIM card. That could damage the card. Your SIM card should activate once your device is powered.

  2. Step 1/6

    Locate the micro SIM card tray on the left side of your device.

    Note: You must have a micro SIM card inserted in your OBD-II device to connect to the Drive+ app and access your Wi-Fi hotspot.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  3. Step 2/6

    Press the card insertion/removal tool into the micro SIM card tray pinhole and push in until the tray releases.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  4. Step 3/6

    Slide the micro SIM card tray out of its slot.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  5. Step 4/6

    Insert or remove the micro SIM card into or from the tray with the gold contacts facing the back of the device.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  6. Step 5/6

    Press the micro SIM card tray back into its slot until it clicks, making sure it's secure.
