Using Multi window

A feature of a device OS that lets you have multiple apps, widgets and services running at the same time. You can have notes, videos and browser windows hover over other apps on your device. For this tutorial, we are showing how to use Chrome and Maps in Multi window.

You can multitask with two applications on your device by using split screen. This will allow you to have two apps open at once.

  1. Step 1/6

    From the Home screen, tap the Recent apps icon.

    The indicator is in the bottom right.
  2. Step 2/6

    Tap the Maps icon.

    The indicator is in the top left.
  3. Step 3/6

    Tap Multi window.

    Note: Not all apps are compatible with Multi window.

    The indicator is towards the top.
  4. Step 4/6

    Tap Messages to add it to your Multi window.

    The indicator is in the center.
  5. Step 5/6

    To exit Multi window, drag the Gray bar to the bottom or top of the screen.

    The indicator is in the center.
