Send voice messages between TELUS subscribers

How to reply to, forward or confirm receipt of messages

All TELUS Mobility voice mail subscribers can send, reply, and forward voice messages to other TELUS Mobility voice mail subscribers.

Send messages

There are two ways to record a message and send it to other TELUS Mobility voice mail customers.

First, dial into the voicemail system. Either:

  • From your mobile device, dial 1 + your 10-digit cellular number + SEND
    Or
  • From a landline, dial your 10-digit mobile number and select the star key to interrupt the system greeting

When prompted, enter your password. You are now in the Main Menu of the voice mail system:

  1. Select 2 for Send Voice Messages
  2. Record your message
  3. Select the # key to end the recording
  4. Either:
    • Select the # key to send your message immediately
      or
    • Select 5 for Delivery Options then select 6 for Future Delivery and set the day/time of delivery (Voice Mail 25/Mike Advanced Voice Mail with Fax only)
  5. Enter the Mailbox Number or Group Distribution List Number (i.e. the destination)
  6. Select the # key to send your message
  7. Select the * key to exit

Note: The destination can be phone numbers and group distribution list numbers.

Confirm receipt of messages

You can be notified if the message has been reviewed or not reviewed by the recipient.

Message Receipt (Voice Mail 25/Mike Advanced Voice Mail with Fax only):

  • After sending a message, select 5 for Delivery Options
  • Select 4 for Notification of Receipt
  • When the message is reviewed by the destination customer(s), you will receive a system-generated voice message indicating the message has been reviewed

Message Non-Receipt (Voice Mail 25/Mike Advanced Voice Mail with Fax only):

  1. After sending a message, select 5 for Delivery Options
  2. Select 5 for Notification of Message Non-receipt and type the date/time that the notification should be given. For example, if you want to know if the message has been reviewed by 3pm tomorrow afternoon, then set the date of tomorrow and 3pm as the time. If the message is not received by this time, you’ll receive a system-generated voice mail message
  3. Press the # key to Confirm
