How to set up Pik TV on Apple TV

1. 3. Have your Apple TV instruction manual ready
4. Have your Apple ID email and password ready. If you haven’t created one, please do so [__here__](https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204316)
5. Still waiting for your hardware to arrive? Access Pik on your computer browser or mobile device by downloading the Pik TV app on iOS or Android

__What you’ll need__: 

- Apple TV
- Remote control
- HDMI cable (not included with Apple TV)

__Note__: The Pik TV app for Apple TV is only compatible with Apple TV 4th generation or higher. Not sure which generation Apple TV you have? [__Identify your model__](https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT200008).

Tips to ensure a smooth installation

1. Plug in your Apple TV by connecting the cord to the built-in power supply on your Apple TV
2. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to an HDMI port on the back of your TV. Connect the other end to the HDMI port on your Apple TV

3. Turn on your TV, then select the input that matches the HDMI input from step 2
4. Follow the onscreen setup instructions, and you’re ready to experience Apple TV
5. Ensure your Apple TV software is up to date
6. If you haven’t already, [__create an Apple ID__](https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204316) to enjoy Apple services

Setting up your Apple TV

1. From the home screen, navigate to __Settings__ using your Apple TV remote

2. Select __Network__

3. Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list

4. Using the touchpad or voice activation on your Apple TV remote, enter in your Wi-Fi password. Select __Continue__ to connect to your Wi-Fi

5. Congratulations! Your Apple TV is now connected to your home Wi-Fi. Press the menu button on your Apple TV remote to return to the home screen

Connecting your Apple TV to your home Wi-Fi

1. From the home screen on your Apple TV, navigate to the App Store

2. In the top menu bar of the App Store, select __Search__

3. Using the touchpad or voice activation on your Apple TV remote, search for __Pik TV__

4. Select __Get__ and you will be prompted to confirm your selection

5. Select __Get__ and you will be prompted to enter in your Apple ID and password

6. Using the touchpad or voice activation on your Apple TV remote, sign in to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID and select __Continue__

7. Enter your Apple ID password and select __OK__ and the Pik TV app will begin downloading

8. Once the download has completed, select __Open__ and you will be redirected to the Pik TV home screen

9. Click on any channel and you will be prompted to log in using your My TELUS credentials

10. Select __Login Now__

11. You will be redirected to a login screen. Select __Username__

12. You may be asked if you want to use an existing email or enter a new one. Please ensure you are using your My TELUS email address. Don't have a My TELUS account? [__Register now__](https://www.telus.com/selfregistration?INTCMP=Tcom_New_LoginPage_SelfRegLink)

13. Using the touchpad or voice activation on your Apple TV remote, enter in your My TELUS username and select __Next__

14. Using the touchpad or voice activation on your Apple TV remote, enter in your My TELUS password and select __Done__. Forgot your My TELUS password? [__Reset your password__](https://identity.telus.com/clientIdentity/forgottenPassword.do?parameter=init&serviceType=telus) and a new one will be sent to you shortly

15. You will be redirected to a login page. Select __Login__

Install Pik on your Apple TV

1. The TELUS TV Digital Box Quick Install Guide
2. All included equipment:
    - TELUS TV Digital Box
    - Power Supply
    - TELUS Remote with AAA batteries
    - HDMI 2.1 cable
3. Your TV and TV manufacturer’s remote
4. Your Wi-Fi network name and password. [Retrieve your login information](https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/reset-your-actiontec-t3200m-modem) if you've lost or forgotten it
5. Optional: an ethernet cable if not connecting your TELUS TV Digital Box via Wi-Fi
6. Optional: your Google account username and password

__Important:__ You must sign in to your Google account in order to access the Google Play Store and be able to download apps onto your TELUS TV Digital Box.

__Note:__ If you are not automatically logged into your TV app during the First Time Installation, you may need to log in manually using your My TELUS username and password. Visit [telus.com/mytelus](https://telus.com/mytelus) to retrieve your username and password if you’ve forgotten it.

On-screen setup

To reboot your TELUS TV Digital Box from the Home screen, navigate to __Settings → Device Settings → Device Preferences → About → Reboot__

To factory reset your TELUS TV Digital Box from the Home screen, navigate to __Settings → Device Settings → Device Preferences → Factory reset__.

If your TELUS TV Digital Box is unresponsive, you can factory reset the box manually by using a paperclip to press and hold the ‘__Factory Reset__’ button on the back of the box for a minimum of 5 seconds.

__Note:__ Performing a factory reset will erase all data from your device’s internal storage, including your Google account, any app data and settings including stored usernames and passwords as well as any downloaded applications.

1. From the home screen of your iOS device, navigate to the __App Store__

3. The Pik TV app will appear. Select __Get__

4. You will be prompted to confirm your Apple ID account. Validate your touch ID or select __Install__

5. Enter your Apple ID password to sign in. Your download will begin
