Common reasons why added numbers aren't updating

There are several reasons that phone numbers added to your Favourite Numbers list aren't showing up.

Check that the number you added is valid

You can't add the following to your Favourite Numbers list:

  • Your voicemail retrieval number
  • Toll-free numbers
  • 1-900 numbers
  • International numbers, including U.S. numbers
  • Canadian long-distance numbers, unless your Favourite Numbers service is Nationwide

When changes take effect

  • When you add phone numbers to an empty Favourite Numbers list, the new list is effective immediately
  • When you modify an existing Favourite Numbers list, the new list becomes effective within 24 hours
  • If you have already modified an existing Favourite Numbers list during your billing cycle, further modifications will go into effect at the start of your next billing cycle

Check when your previous changes took effect

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Select Billing from the main navigation
  3. Click Bill history and settings + and head to Transaction history

Your favourite number list changes and effective dates will display.
