To use TELUS SmartHome Security products, you’ll need high speed internet service to support outdoor camera use and to be within a mobile network coverage area. A TELUS representative will be able to advise you if you are eligible for the service.

If you are interested in SmartHome Security, but already have a service agreement with another provider, contact us to find out what options are available to you. You may receive a monthly discount when you switch to TELUS SmartHome Security. However, you are responsible for cancelling your contract with your current security provider.

To access the $10/month mobility discount, you must have a TELUS Mobility or Koodo account in your personal name or be an authorized user on your account. PC Mobile accounts do not qualify for the discount.

TELUS SmartHome Security has two installation options.

Self-Install

You can do-it-yourself:

• If you are comfortable with basic home repairs and using a ladder, you can do-it-yourself.

• You'll get a Self-install Kit with all your devices and necessary instructions.

• Install on your own time with online guidance and call-in support if you need it.

• A $100 kit fee is charged on self-install orders and is 100% refundable when service is activated within 30 days of order.

Professional Installation

We can do it for you:

• Our technicians will take care of everything and show you the best place to place the cameras.

• There is a $150 fee for the professional installation.

Yes, when you select a plan, you can add devices and services such as a security guard.

Once your term is over, your service will continue to function and your contract will simply shift to month-to-month and you can continue to enjoy SmartHome Security every month.

TELUS Home Assistant on Amazon Alexa gives you hands-free voice control of your TELUS SmartHome Security devices.

Any Amazon Alexa enabled device, including:

• Any Amazon Alexa speakers (i.e. Echo dot, Echo Show and Echo Studio)

• Third-party speakers integrated with Amazon Alexa (i.e. Sonos, Facebook Portal)
