Instructions for restarting your Optik system

It is important to reboot the equipment in a specific order.
- Restart your modem
- Once it is back online, find your PVR
Pro Tip: Your PVR will be the biggest digital box in your home! - Disconnect the power cord from the back of the box
- Wait 2 minutes
- Reconnect the power cord to the back of your digital box
- The digital box will be ready when both the Link and Power lights are on
- Ensure you are able to watch Live TV and that your recordings are available
- Move on to any other digital boxes in the home and repeat steps 3 - 7
Detecting an Arris problem
During the first booting minute of your 4K decoders, it is strongly recommended not to touch your remote. Otherwise, you may end up with one or the other of the ARRIS startup screens.
You could see this screen with or without an error message. You will need to reboot your decoder at this time by holding the "Power" button for 10 seconds or unplugging and reconnecting the power cable.
You might see this screen showing a progress bar. This will remain indefinitely frozen when it reaches 21%, forcing a restart. You will need to reboot your decoder at this time by holding the "Power" button for 10 seconds or unplugging and reconnecting the power cable.
