TELUS Health Virtual Care is the first and only provider who works with your employees' family physician. With the employee's consent, we will update the patient electronic medical record (EMR) to keep their family doctor updated on any changes to their health, along with any interventions offered by our team. Currently this applies to 30,000 physicians Canada wide using a TELUS Health EMR.

All data is encrypted and stored in a SOC 2 compliant, Canadian data centre. Only the plan member and the clinical team delivering care can access personal medical records. Clinician access is restricted by role and region. All text and video consultations use end-to-end encryption, and our security team performs penetration testing and threat risk assessments to ensure that our security practices are up-to-date and effective.

TELUS Health Virtual Care Clinicians are independent contractors who work scheduled shifts. Their only incentive is to provide the best possible quality of care by taking all the time needed to serve your plan members.

TELUS Health Virtual Care is available to employees of organizations as part of their employee benefits plan, and to the immediate family members of those employees. In this case, we define eligible family members as the employee’s partner or spouse and any dependents under the age of 26.

Note that all consults initiated by a parent on behalf of a child will require the child to be present and to do a video consult.
