Chair of the Boards of TELUS Health and TELUS Agriculture

François Gratton

Formerly Group President of TELUS Health and TELUS Agriculture, François continues to serve these two industry-leading business units as chair of their boards. At TELUS, he helped drive TELUS’ strategy and vision across Canada and internationally as a member of the executive leadership team. And with an impressive track record spanning over 20 years in the technology industry, François has extensive experience in driving new agile business lines.

During his tenure, TELUS’ Health and Agriculture businesses delivered strong financial and operating results, and François contributed significantly to their strength and advancement, launching TELUS Agriculture and leading a global team that leverages everyday innovation and next-gen technology to enable better human, health and food outcomes.

While TELUS Health improves access to health and wellness services and is revolutionizing how health information flows across the continuum of care, TELUS Agriculture is improving the quality and safety of our food from farm to fork through traceability and better access to data. The latter now ranks among the world’s largest agriculture technology providers serving customers in over 50 countries.

For nine years, François also headed efforts building on TELUS’ 95-year history in the province of Quebec to deliver best-in-class consumer entertainment, health and security solutions, and provide customer experience excellence at home, at work and on the move. Committed to bridging the digital divide, TELUS Québec successfully completed some of the most remote and challenging connectivity deployments in Canada under François’ stewardship.

Additionally, as TELUS Executive Vice-President, François led business solutions nationally such as Enterprises Solutions, IOT, Managed IT as well as the Partner Solutions team, which puts TELUS’ extensive national infrastructure and technology investments to work through wholesale agreements with global, national and local carrier partners.

François joined TELUS during the 2008 acquisition of healthcare IT firm Emergis, where he served as Executive Vice-president, Healthcare Provider Solutions and was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 the following year.

François holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Law from the Université de Montréal.

A strong believer in business and community involvement, he is a member of Le Cercle des présidents du Québec, the Canadian Advisory Board of Harvard Business School, and the Quebec Bar Association. Additionally, he chairs the Board of The Lighthouse, Children and Families, a pediatric palliative care resource, and serves as Vice-Chair of the TELUS Montreal Community Board.
