Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As a Senior Designer on our optimization squad, you will play a key role to create digital experiences for TELUS customers in collaboration with multiple teams – user experience, development, testing, analytics and marketing. The optimization squad is made up a POs, developers and content writers who look at our key customer journeys E2E on the site and identify areas of fallout or experience gaps and uncover opportunities to improve or optimize the experience to drive more people through the funnel and ultimately more conversions online. The key customer journeys we look to optimize include, existing customers who are looking to renew their services, existing customers looking to add another line or product with TELUS, prospective customers.


Here’s how

  • Work with PO on figuring out business requirements including designing, reviewing and looking at the holistic E2E experience
  • Work with developers on wire framing and prototyping
  • Assist in user flows, user story mapping, journey mapping and create visual mock-ups of UX flows
  • Create landing/marketing pages off wireframes
  • Taking UX and interaction considerations for visual designs
  • Work with developers to ensure integrity of hi-fi mock-ups that match implementation
  • Solving design problems around the customer journey
  • Conduct qualitative interviews with TELUS customers when appropriate
  • UX research
  • Understand and communicate the ways people with disabilities are meant to experience the design

  • Effectively articulates design alternatives to ensure customer and business needs are met
  • Ability to contribute to the development and improvement of the TELUS design system guidelines
  • Effectively and efficiently leads project team through design discussions
  • Anticipates well and formulates comprehensive responses to difficult questions
  • Effectively leads discussions to senior stakeholders and executives
  • Clearly articulates the “why” on complex design solutions and choices
  • Clearly articulates design and user experience alternatives

  • Effectively articulates the design objectives to junior interaction designers and visual designers
