Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As a Senior Scrum Master in TELUS Digital, you’ll be responsible for facilitating the product development process for our chat team. Your key drivers will be enabling the scrum team to meet their sprint goals by helping the team to coordinate their inputs and outputs, leading agile ceremonies, aiding in the removal of any impediments and buffering them from any distracting influences. You will employ Agile and Lean methodologies to support the continuous improvement efforts of our teams, as well as share your expertise and experiences with the broader Agile community at TELUS.

Here’s how

Facilitate agile ceremonies (meetings, standups, sprint planning, retros)

Facilitate trouble-shooting meetings between cross functional teams

Facilitate scrum of scrums for multi-team projects

Work across the TELUS Digital and organizational teams to enable agile work styles

Record, track and monitor timelines and track the team’s delivery (performance)

Set up a workflow process and ensuring workflow or tools are provided for pre-development work (design, UX, content, accessibility and SEO)

Configure and regularly update confluence

Set up and maintain tools (configure and update Zapier, JIRA etc.)

Report on team performance metrics

Constantly look for ways to optimize team delivery flow

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

Minimum 5 years of experience as Scrum Master working with Scrum, Kanban and ScrumBan

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification

Highly skilled at agile software development methodologies, values and practices and ability to

In depth experience with lean, lean startup, and lean UX approaches

Ability to coach the team for them to reach their highest potential, and champion change

Creative, inventive and innovative at taking on complex challenges

Advanced facilitation skills to conduct effective working sessions to drive problem solving

Finds and applies new and leading agile tools and techniques

Effectively works through conflict and de-escalates difficult situations

Diplomatically navigates complex and controversial discussion


Acts as an agile champion and subject matter expert across TELUS Digital to ensure the team lives the agile principles and practices

Actively identifies and supports team members and leaders in removing impediments for the benefit of the organization as a whole

Develops close working relationships with digital leadership team

Viewed as a leader and constantly coaches junior team members

Acts as a resource to resolve highly complex problems across portfolio
