We are looking for a professional who is detail-oriented and flexible, and who thrives in challenging situations. Critical thinking is a necessary skill in order to deliver intuitive experiences for a complex product. As a Junior Product Owner for the My TELUS Billing team, you will be responsible for the customer experiences in relation to viewing and paying their bills.
 
You will be working as a part of a friendly, cross-disciplinary agile team who helps each other solve problems across all functions. Your understanding of accessibility, design, and user experience will be essential in meeting the expectations of our customers.

Here’s how

  • Assist with project implementations, working closely with a Senior Strategy Manager and Technical Lead to document requirements and ensuring their completion
  • Understand TELUS business and customer priorities, play a key role in driving those outcomes
  • Consistently write effective user stories and demonstrate ability to prioritize the product backlog
  • Be the voice of the customer; tell the Product Story, ensure data and research underpin everything we do
  • Own the vision and backlog of digital experiences in partnership with stakeholders to achieve our goals
  • Understand the relationships of a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders within the organization; collaborate on interdependent roadmaps and technology investments to achieve mutual business outcomes
  • Rally support from across TELUS to maximize adoption of your products
  • Proactively find new opportunities to generate value or delight customers
  • Be accountable for product KPIs and reporting on progress, keeping our key partners up-to-speed
  • Effectively set expectations with stakeholders and build credibility with them
  • Find ways to quickly iterate and optimize your product to get the most out of our investments
  • Accountable for the product overall health including security, accessibility and performance

  • Experience working in a large and complex organization
  • You are a self-starter with excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Organizational and time management skills; ability to define and execute on a vision 
  • Ability to think critically, sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with analytics, data platforms, and user-testing to drive outcomes

Great-to-haves

  • Certifications in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
