Because all the “magic” is in the cloud, you don’t need any expensive hardware,” confirms Retelsdorf.
“In the traditional world you’d have to buy a PRI or a PBX – they can be very expensive – but with a TELUS Business Connect solution all you need is an Internet connection and an output, and that could be a smartphone, a tablet, a computer or a VoIP-enabled desk phone.”
“That’s it. That’s all you need,” adds Retelsdorf.

What’s more, now that the number’s in the cloud, you can have it ring simultaneously across multiple devices, if you like, Retelsdorf adds. “So if you had a desk phone in the office, an office phone at home and you had an Android or an iPhone in your pocket, you can set it up so that when a call comes into that cloud number, every single one of those devices will ring at the same time.” “So no matter where you are, you can always take that call.”
Getting started is easy, and affordable
When you switch to TELUS Business Connect, every customer gets access to three complimentary implementation calls from an expert, says Retelsdorf.
“They’ll call you at a time that works for you and ask you a series of questions as they walk you through your network setup, talk about what you want to accomplish, how many users you have, and so on.”
Because the entire Voice Manager console is in the cloud, it’s all web-enabled, therefore you simply log into your console and after some very basic training, anyone will be able to set up and run this. “It’s incredibly easy to manage, and there are no maintenance costs.”
