Accessibility responsibilities for UX and IXD Designers

User experience (UX) and interaction designers (IXD) are responsible for mapping out the customer journey, using the TELUS Design System (TDS), and following TELUS brand standards. UX and IXD professionals and visual designers work together to establish the interactions and requirements for the project.

  • Share your ideas and test with real people early and often

As a UX and/or IXD designer you will determine the user experience, using TDS and the provided content structure, to tell a story for our customers to follow:

  • Ensure that accessibility considerations, including focus management and complex design patterns is provided to the developers
  • Review your designs in staging to support the team
  • Apply clear and enjoyable experiences
  • Know the Accessibility User Experiences, and design your experiences with them in mind
  • Research UX and IXD design trends for accessibility
  • Share your ideas and test with real people early and often
