Sending a text
Apple Watch Series 4 on watchOS 7.0.0
Compose and send a standard SMS message with your device's text messaging app. You can send a text message to an individual or a group.
- Step 1 of 14:
From a watch face, press the Digital Crown.
- Step 2 of 14:
Tap the Messages icon.
Note: You can view your apps in a list view if you prefer.
- Step 3 of 14:
Tap New Message.
- Step 4 of 14:
Tap Add Contact.
- Step 5 of 14:
Tap the Contacts icon.
Note: You can also choose to dictate a contact's name.
- Step 6 of 14:
Select a contact.
- Step 7 of 14:
Select the contact's phone number.
- Step 8 of 14:
Tap Create Message.
- Step 9 of 14:
Tap the Scribble icon.
Note: You can also choose to dictate a message, add emoji, share your heartbeat or select a message suggestion.
- Step 10 of 14:
Enter your message by drawing each character one at a time.
- Step 11 of 14:
Tap Send.
- Step 12 of 14:
Turn the Digital Crown to scroll to Send.
- Step 13 of 14:
Tap Send.
