Performing a Factory Reset

A factory reset will erase all data from your device and is irreversible. This is good to do if you are going to trade in or sell your device. It will wipe all of your personal information from the device.

  1. Step 1 of 8:

    From the Home screen, drag down the Notification Panel.

  2. Step 2 of 8:

    Tap the Settings icon.

    Step 2/8

  3. Step 3 of 8:

    Scroll to Backup and reset.

  4. Step 4 of 8:

    Tap Backup and reset.

    Step 4/8

  5. Step 5 of 8:

    Tap Factory data reset. Before proceeding, make sure you designate a backup account. Otherwise, all photos, videos, and other information on your tablet will be permanently deleted.

  6. Step 6 of 8:

    Tap RESET DEVICE.

    Step 6/8

  7. Step 7 of 8:

    Tap ERASE EVERYTHING.

    Step 7/8

  8. Step 8 of 8:

    You've completed the steps!
