Setting iPad to silent

Silent mode will quiet your device's notifications. When your device is in silent mode, it will not make a sound to notify you of incoming notifications. You can set it to vibrate to alert you to incoming notifications with vibrations instead of sound.
Note: Do Not Disturb mode silences all calls and notifications.
- Step 1 of 4:
From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Step 2 of 4:
Tap Do Not Disturb.
- Step 3 of 4:
Tap or slide the Do Not Disturb switch to ON.
Note: You can also use the Volume buttons to lower the volume to silent, or switch the Ring/Silent switch on the side of iPad to silent.
