Connecting to Wi-Fi

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network can decrease your usage of cellular data. Learn how to join a Wi-Fi network. Note that you may need to enter a password to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  1. Step 1 of 5:

    From the Home screen, drag down the Notification panel.

  2. Step 2 of 5:

    Touch and hold the Wi-Fi icon.

    Note: If you already have a Wi-Fi connection set up, just tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn Wi-Fi on and off.

  3. Step 3 of 5:

    Tap or slide the Wi-Fi switch to On.

    Note: Using Wi-Fi can deplete your battery power faster than your carrier network connection.

  4. Step 4 of 5:

    Select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to connect to.

    Note: Wi-Fi hotspots may have security limitations, requiring a password. If necessary, enter the network password and tap Connect.
