Set up TELUS email on your computer using Outlook 2013

Access your telusnet email account through Outlook 2013

Not your email client?

  1. From your desktop , select Start
  2. From the Start menu, select Microsoft Office Outlook 2013
  3. From the top taskbar , select File
  4. From the left pane , select Info
  5. Select +Add Account
  6. The Add New Account window is displayed. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types
  7. Select Next
  8. Select IMAP
  9. Select Next
  10. Type the following information:
    • Your Name: The name that will be displayed to recipients of emails you send
    • E-mail Address: Your telus.net email address
    • Account Type: Select IMAP
    • Incoming mail server: imap.telus.net
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.telus.net
    • User Name: Your email account username
    • Password: Your email account password
      Note: If you’ve forgotten your telus.net email password, call us at 1-888-811-2323. Our agents will help you reset your password.
  11. Check the Remember password check box
  12. Select More Settings
  13. Under the Outgoing server tab, make sure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked
  14. Select Advanced
  15. Set the Incoming mail server (IMAP) to 993
  16. On the Use the following type of encrypted connection: option choose NONE
  17. Change the Outgoing mail server (SMTP): to 465
  18. Select OK
  19. Select Next
  20. Select Finish

Your telus.net email account is set up for use with Microsoft Office Outlook 2013.
