Set up and manage pre-authorized payments

Set up and manage pre-authorized payments to your TELUS account so that you never miss a payment

Once you’ve set up pre-authorized payments, you’ll never have to worry about paying your bill on time.

You can also:

  • Update credit card on file
  • Change your payment method (credit card or chequing account)
  • Cancel pre-authorized payments

On the website


You can make your payments by credit card or Visa debit , or through your chequing account.

  1. Log into My Account. If you don’t have an account, register now
  2. If you have multiple accounts, locate the one you’d like to set up payments for
  3. Select Set up pre-authorized payments
  4. Complete and submit the online form

Note: It may take up to one full billing cycle for pre-authorized payments to take effect. If you have a balance due, we recommend that you make a one-time credit card payment to avoid late charges.

On the mobile app


You can also set up (or update) pre-authorized payments from the Billing screen in the TELUS My Account app.

Update, change or cancel your payments


  1. Log into My Account. If you don’t have an account, register now
  2. If you have multiple accounts, locate the one you’d like to manage payments for
  3. Select Manage pre-authorized payments
  4. Complete and submit the online form

Set up payments by mail – Mobility


By mail, you can set up (or update) pre-authorized payments by chequing account only.

  1. Download and Print the Client authorization for automatic account withdrawals form
  2. Mail the completed, signed form along with a void cheque to:
