What is Sensor Activity Monitoring?
Sensor Activity Monitoring (SAM) is a feature that allows you to see the specific status of the desired Door and Window or Motion sensor on your system status or event history (i.e. a Door and Window Sensor showing an Opened or Closed status on your mobile app). If you want to receive a notification or see the history of that particular sensor, make sure this setting is enabled for that sensor on your account.
Note: By default, this setting is enabled for all sensors. If your account is being professionally monitored, changing this setting will not affect how the sensor is being monitored through our Central Monitoring Station either.
How do I enable or disable this feature?
To enable or disable Sensor Activity Monitoring for a desired sensor. Follow the instructions below.
- Log into the web portal
- Click Settings
- Click Devices
- In the Devices window, select Devices
- Under Monitoring, enable the checkbox for that particular sensor you want to monitor. Alternatively, unselect the checkbox if you do not want this feature enabled for that sensor
- Click Save when complete
