We’ll contact you to obtain approval to assess your building’s eligibility for PureFibre. Then present a design plan for approval before connecting the network directly to the main electrical room.
We install individual PureFibre cables in each residential unit in the building with the owner’s approval.
Once individual cables are installed in your building’s suites, we’ll let everyone know that work is complete. Then you can start ordering TELUS PureFibre™ services like Internet and Optik TV.
The first step is for you to submit the contact form. We'll then get in touch to familiarize you with the connection process and set up an initial building assessment.
Every building is different, so each multi-unit installation is uniquely tailored to the individual building features. One of our TELUS construction specialists will visit your building to survey the structure and discuss design options with you. They will answer any questions such as the aesthetic impact to the building, the type of material and products which will be used, and the timelines for construction activity. The construction process takes 1-4 weeks, depending on size of the building and tenant availability for suite access.
You are authorizing TELUS to conduct a walk-through of the building and determine the best routing. You are also granting access to the common areas and to individual suites, in order to install fibre jacks during scheduled appointments. If you have any questions, please contact ROE@telus.com or call 1-855-595-5588.
Construction personnel will need to access all areas of the building, including: the main electrical/telecommunications room(s), utility closets, lobby/common rooms as well as individual suite access (to be arranged and scheduled with each resident).
It involves placing fibre distribution cable from the TELUS network out at the street into a demarcation point in the main electrical/ telecommunications room, running vertical fibre cables to secondary rooms (if applicable), and installing individual fibre cables to each of the suites within the building.
A dedicated local TELUS team is available to answer any questions and provide information.
