Denise Pickett is the President, Global Services Group of American Express, a role she has held since 2019. In 2021 she also assumed responsibility for consumer travel and lifestyle services. From 1992 to the present, Denise has held a number of senior roles throughout American Express, such as Country Manager for American Express Canada and President and Chief Executive Officer of Amex Bank of Canada. Denise subsequently relocated to the United States, where she served as the President of American Express OPEN, the small business division, then as the President of U.S. Consumer Services, and most recently as American Express’ Chief Risk Officer. She was also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hudson’s Bay Company (2012 to 2018) and serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of the United Way of New York City.
Denise has also been recognized by Payment Source as one of the Most Influential Women in Payments.
Denise holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto.
