Christine Magee is Chair of Sleep Country Canada. Christine co-founded Sleep Country in 1994. From 1982 to 1994 Christine worked in the banking and financial services industry at the National Bank of Canada and Continental Bank of Canada. Christine also serves on the Board of Directors of Metro Inc., as well as on the boards of other private and not-for-profit organizations, including Woodbine Entertainment Group, Trillium Health Partners and The Talent Fund. Christine previously served on the Board of Directors of Plan International Canada, Western University Entrepreneurship Advisory Council, Sirius XM Canada, the Advisory Board of the Ivey School of Business, Cott Corporation and McDonald’s Canada.

Christine is a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Commerce from Ryerson University and is a Member of the Order of Canada. She holds a Business and Administration (Honours) degree from the University of Western Ontario.

In addition to her experience in banking and financial services, Christine brings extensive insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs and the retail sector, a key customer market for TELUS.
