These are real stories of the cyberbullied. This is what they learned, and how they came back.
The power of WE
TELUS and WE have a shared vision – to help empower young people. In 2017, we launched a year-round anti-cyberbullying initiative with WE Schools. Through this partnership, 7,000 Canadian WE schools get access to our co-created ‘WE Rise Above’ campaign, which helps teachers educate students on how to deal with cyberbullying when they see it happening. TELUS is also proud to be a co-title sponsor of all WE Day events across Canada, bringing the WE Rise Above to #EndBullying message to tens of thousands of students annually.
Tackling bullying together
TELUS has teamed up with our partners (BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ottawa REDBLACKS and Montreal Alouettes) to promote the importance of good sportsmanship both on the field and online. Together, with our players, alumni, coaches, and fans - we educate students about responsible digital citizenship through TELUS Wise resources.
Promoting good sportsmanship on the ice and online
TELUS and Hockey Canada are proud to launch an important new initiative to help keep youth safe online. "The Code" encourages hockey fans, players, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers to commit to being good sports both on the ice and online. The Code is being piloted in British Columbia in Fall 2018, with a planned national rollout in 2019.
