Reine-Marie Roy (Chair)

Reine-Marie Roy is a lawyer and partner who founded the firm Roy Beaulieu Boudreau Bélanger avocats s.e.n.c. in 1987, now Avocats BSL, specializing in family law, securities law, commercial and consumer law, and general civil law. Named an advocatus emeritus by the bar, she was president of the bar for BSL/Gaspésie for several years and a guest speaker at some 20 events.
A president and founder of the Association des femmes d’affaires de Rimouski (a businesswomen’s association) since 2000, she sits on committees such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the CAVAC (crime victims assistance centre) and the UQAR student housing corporation. She has chaired Spect’Art (an entertainment production collective), the Académie internationale d’orgue et de clavecin (international organ and harpsichord academy) the Musée régional de Rimouski, Centraide (the United Way) and Ficelles (a job integration program), and she chaired the ethics committee for the Rimouski-Neigette health and social services centre for almost 15 years.
