For youth leaving foster care, their phone can be their lifeline, helping them build credit, search for somewhere to live, find education and job opportunities, and stay in touch with friends and vital support networks.
A collaboration between TELUS and Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada (CAFC) and select Centre de Jeunesse Foundations, Mobility for GoodTM helps these kids achieve independence by providing them with a free phone and a $0 plan, including 3 GB of data for two years.

Are you eligible?
Do you have lived experience in the child welfare system?
Was your lived experience in the child welfare system in one of the following provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, or New Brunswick?
Are you currently between the age of majority (in the province in which you currently reside) and the age of 26?
Age 18 in AB, MB, ON, PEI, QC, SK.
Age 19 in BC, NB, NL, NW, NS, NU, YT
Are you able to have a ministry/agency representative fill out a letter of eligibility on your behalf?

Download a letter of eligibility from our website according to the province in which you were in care and find a ministry or youth agency worker to fill it out for you
Sign up through our online portal below
Receive your personal verification code via email within 2 weeks of signing up. When you are approved for the program, a letter of approval will be emailed to you that contains your personal verification code and contact information for TELUS so you can set up your TELUS account
Go online or call TELUS to create your TELUS account. You’ll need to provide the following information:
Your Driver’s License, SIN or Provincial Photo Card (any one of these is acceptable)
Phone number and account number of any cell phone provider you are transferring from, or your existing TELUS number (if applicable)
Accessible mailing address for shipping of the phone and/or sim card
Once your order is processed, your phone and/or sim card will be shipped to your provided address
