Assistive Tech for Good

At TELUS, we believe it is part of our responsibility to ensure the digital space is inclusive for everyone. We recognize that access to products, services, solutions, or environments by persons of all abilities is integral to being a leading service provider and promoting inclusion and accessibility within our workplace and the communities we serve.

The Assistive Tech for Good™ program, now available in Alberta and British Columbia, is a collaboration between TELUS and the Neil Squire Society which aims to help persons with disabilities successfully get set up on a TELUS wireless smartphone or tablet so they can be connected and live more independently.

Through Assistive Tech for Good, TELUS customers with disabilities that require a customized solution involving assistive technology such as additional hardware or software to independently access their smartphone or tablet can receive specialized assistance. The program will help with selecting the right customized solution which involves a TELUS wireless device, compatible assistive technology, set-up and training needed to independently control their personal smartphone or tablet. Financial assistance towards the cost of assistive technology is also offered to customers with affordability concerns*.

Program offers:

  • Access to experts with specialized knowledge on assistive technologies

  • Set-up and installation if required of wireless smartphone or tablet

  • Phone and assistive technology training and support

  • Financial support toward the cost of assistive technology if deemed necessary by Neil Squire Society

  • $20 monthly discount on Simple Share and Peace of Mind TELUS Mobility Smartphone plans

Do I qualify?

This program is intended for customers who have a disability and require additional support such as hardware or software to independently operate a handheld wireless smartphone or tablet beyond the support offered through TELUS retail store expertise.

The program is available to TELUS customers in British Columbia and Alberta.
