Marc Parent is the President and CEO of CAE Inc., a position he has held since October 2009. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at CAE since joining in February 2005, including Group President, Simulation Products and Military Training & Services and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. With over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, he has previously held positions with Canadair and Bombardier Aerospace in Canada and the U.S.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Canada and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC); and previously has served on the Boards of Aero Montreal, the Quebec Aerospace Cluster and Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI).
Marc earned a degree in engineering from École Polytechnique, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He was honoured in 1999 as one of “Canada’s Top 40 under 40” leaders, and holds an honorary doctorate from École Polytechnique. In February 2011, Marc was named Canadian Defence Review’s first ever Defence Executive of the Year. In 2016 he was awarded the Prix Mérite 2016 of the Association of Polytechnique Graduates.
